Last week Nvidia, the leader in AI computing, released yet another blow-out earnings report, for first quarter of 2024 - with earnings per share (EPS) up 629% and revenue up 262% YoY.
This was following an already wildly successful earnings last quarter (EPS up 765%, revenue up 265%)
With lots of debate whether AI is just an overhyped trend or a fundamental shift in industries,
Nvidia’s performance seems to say a lot - that at least for now, AI is here to stay.
As Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, said in GTC (Nvidia’s conference) this February:
“There is a new industrial revolution... the computer of this revolution is generative AI.”
What does this signify for business owners?
AI is shaping new ways people interact with information and as result, consumers have higher expectations from products, digital channels and platforms.
They are now used to interacting and being assisted more organically, and served immediately via autonomous & intelligent interfaces.
For internal operations, AI signals a productivity boost for businesses that equip their employees with the right AI tools that replace repetitive time-consuming labor, trained with industry data, vetted for security and accuracy.
